The Upshur County Historical Society, housed in the historic Southern Methodist
Church Building on West Main Street, serves as a gathering place for historical
activities and serves Upshur County as museum with permanent and changing exhibits.
The Upshur County Public Library is located on WV Route 20 (the Tennerton Road) south of
downtown Buckhannon. The mission of the Upshur County Public Library is to connect people
to current information in a friendly and courteous manner. The Library provides a wide range
of services that fit the interests and needs of people of all ages.
