The five day West Virginia Strawberry Festival begins its 66th Year in 2007
The festival has it all - parades, carnival, arts and craft exhibits, quilt show,
photography show, souvenir shop, daily entertainment, car show, strawberry auction,
two huge entertainment nights, and more.
Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort is a resort destination for
skiing holidays and winter vacations for much of the eastern U.S. and beyond.
It also offers four season opportunities for those in our area.
Stonewall Resort offers water in a different form. Located on nearby
Stonewall Jackson Lake, Stonewall Resort is a major water, golf, and
conference destination
Holly River State Park is a much different experience. Far from the hustle
and bustle, it is a perfect getaway for a natural feeling of peaceful solitude.
Holly River is the second largest park in the West Virginia park system
with a total of 8,101 acres. Nestled in a narrow valley, the park is surrounded
by heavily forested mountains some reaching heights of over 2,800 feet.
